Arbor Farmstead is hiring field crew members for the 2023 growing season (May-October). We are also hiring an assistant manager at Arbor Farm Market. You can learn more about the Market position here: www.arborfarmmarket.com/employment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with all aspects of annual and perennial crop production (e.g., bed prep, seeding, planting, weeding, trellising, harvesting, packing)
Maintain healthy soil stewardship practices (e.g., composting and mulching)
Manage landscape upkeep (e.g., mowing, weed whacking, invasive plant removal)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 16 years old
Prior gardening/farming experience (2 years preferred)
Ability to carry 40 lbs and work in a range of weather conditions
Demonstrated comfortability with farm animals (tolerance for high maintenance farm dogs with ‘big personalities’ a plus)
Track record of being self-motivated, innovative, and working independently
COMPENSATION:
Pay starts at $15 (increase dependent on experience)
